Million Dollar Homes and Veteran Home Loans

I am sure when you think of Million Dollar Homes a veteran home loan does not come to mind...

It certaintly didn't for a couple looking to secure a property in Fairfax, Virgina where million dollar homes are common. Their credit union didn't think of a va home loan as a feasible option either.

Luckily their real estate agent asked them to meet with me and go over the fact they could actually make a savvy financial move and utilize their veteran home loan benefits to buy their dream home.

Although the maximum county limit for no money down VA loans is $625,500 in the Washignton DC metro area, using the VA Loan Guaranty saved the veterans tens of thousands dollars versus using a conventional jumbo loan which will typically requires at least twenty percent down payment which is $200,000 or more for a million dollar property.

By maximizing the VA Loan Guaranty the borrowers down payment was far less.
